Is there a minimum rental time?
1 hour is the minimum. We suggest you book for at least two(2) hours, allowing yourself time for setup and cleanup after your event of anything you bring into the cafe.
Do I need to make a deposit?
Yes. We ask for 50% of the event rental fee during your time of booking. You can place your deposit over the phone, or come into the cafe within 24 hours to drop off your deposit.
What if I need to cancel?
We get it, life happens!
If you are cancelling two weeks, or before, your scheduled event, we will refund your deposit. Otherwise, you forgo your deposit.
If you're somewhere around Unity Village or the Kansas City area and need a space for a private gathering, The Fillmore Café is available to book. It's a real coffeehouse with a functioning specialty coffee bar, not a repurposed banquet room. Your group gets the same environment, the same baristas, the same coffee our regulars show up for every morning.
The room already does a lot of the work. We built this place around people sitting down and actually talking to each other, and that doesn't change when you rent it out. If your event is the kind where real things get said and decided, this is a better fit than somewhere that just has better chairs than a conference room.
